The best part of today’s lunch was definitely the “Confit Onion and Cod Fish Spanish Omelette” — so wet & runny on the inside, almost to the point of being pornographic. I also liked the “Mushroom and Truffle Croquettes” (my second favourite — so rich & creamy, I ate both myself), The other good ones were: “Spherical Olives” — a quick burst of umami brine, “Octopus, Crispy Pork Belly and Potato Foam” — so hearty & good, & the “Beef, Foie-Gras Carpaccio with Truffle Dressing” (despite it lacking any hints of foie gras or truffle whatsoever, it was still tasty & satisfying). On the down side of things were: The soggy “Triticum Barcelona Bread with Tomato”, Tasteless “Ibérico Bellota Ham (Gran Reserve)”, Lacklustre“Ibérico Ham, Cheese and Truffle Bikini”, The extremely bland burrata cheese in the “Burrata and Tomato Salad with Grilled Asparagus” (very nice & fresh tomatoes though), & the “Grilled Secreto Ibérico Pork with Padrón Peppers and Pico de Gallo” which was tough & also tasteless. I also didn’t appreciate the waiters’ lack of attentiveness, the lack of social distancing, & the waitstaffs’ apathy towards our request for space between our table & the one next to us. But I’ll probably be back. The tortilla, the croquetas & the desserts were that good!
