I want it to seem like I am positive all the time, but there are moments when I focus more on negativity too. I used to dwell on bad things or criticism, and I felt like an angry victim who judges the others and creates this distinct superior-inferior relationship. Life is not easy, but Why do we feed something that's already negative in our life, with more negativity and pessimism? Well, in human evolution, we can see that our environment's negative stimuli were more critical in regards to survival. However, nowadays, we have no predators around us, and this hard-wired tendency in our brains operates with the same intensity. As you can see, it is not as useful as it once was, and it can direct our attention to adverse events and magnify them. Even though we have the "negativity bias," we still have control over it, and our happiness is a choice away. Start meditating daily, and your self-awareness will rise. You will be able to consciously direct your attention toward positive things. There are no excuses, ever, to be negative, because if there's a will, there's a way. It's your responsibility. Use it as an opportunity to write the next chapter. How did you overcome negativity in your life? Drop your stories in the comments! Until next time!
